Fontainebleau Coaching Workshops & Private Coaching
3 day coaching workshops in the beautiful forests of Fontainebleau or private coaching to fit your requirements. Introducing and developing the techniques and skills to kick start your bouldering and climbing adventures. Helping you move efficiently on rock in a fun and friendly environment.

Who’s it for?
Our workshops are split into two groups, a family focused workshop aimed at introducing you and/or your children to bouldering, a minimum age of 8 is recommended, experience can be minimal to those climbing for a few years.
The second workshop is for Intermediate and Beginner climbers, these can include those who have only just started in the sport up to those climbing for a few years and wanting to progress and refine their climbing techniques. No minimum grade is required as Fontainebleau can cater for all levels.
Private sessions can be for all abilities and ages.
What it involves
Each day will take you to a new location in the forest, starting with basic slab and toping out (mantling) skills then through the 3 day workshop introducing you to vertical climbing techniques and finally steep wall / overhanging techniques. Bouldering Safety will be covered as well as warming up techniques, route reading and climbing ethics and etiquette.
The Cost
Workshops are £200 per person, Private coaching is £200 per day.
What’s Included
The workshops includes a maximum 6:1 coaching ratio and Boulder pads. You will need to bring your own climbing shoes and chalk. Every day we will meet as a group at an easy to find parking location to assemble then go off to the bouldering to commence the workshop. Please note accommodation and transport is not included. We will try and do everything we can do get you to the bouldering area and organise lift shares if you are without a car.

Accommodation & Meals
We will be predominantly based in the Trois Pignons area near Milly-la-Foret. Getting There
Fontainebleau is around 40minutes south of Paris and around 3 and half hours from Calais. It is easily assessable by car or Eurostar then train to Fontainebleau. However, a car will be essential to get to the bouldering locations. When ever possible we will be able to help pick up and drop off from local train stations and also help you get to the bouldering areas if you are without a car.
The Coaches
Jon Redshaw Is a performance climbing coach working across London and the South East as well as an accomplished climber in sports climbing and bouldering. He’s coached climbers up to International Level and 8b on rock. With over 12 years experience of rock climbing and a background in Sports Science and working with elite athletes from multiple sports, he excels in perfecting climbing movement and improvement through technique. As well as a keen eye for technique he specializes in perodised training programs allowing everyone to achieve their climbing goals.
